December 13th - As the freezing rain started to fall onto the roadways, the communication center alerted the rescue squad for the first of two accidents which was a in the Hempfield FD local. While the rescue squad was returning from the first crash, Medic 741 came upon a crash on Rt.283 west at Rt.741 and the rescue squad along with the engine and chief went en-route as Medic 741 was giving the patient update to the comm. center. Chief 23 arrived with two patients confined in a pickup. The rescue squad arrived, started primary assessment as well as went in-service with the hydraulic tools to remove both the passenger and drivers door. The engine company arrived and handled hazard control.
